The BTA is run by Bruntsfield traders for the benefit of all businesses in Bruntsfield.
We promote member businesses via our website, booklet, advertising and our highly successful B-Card promotions, promoting Bruntsfield as a shopping destination and encouraging visitors to the area.

MEMBERSHIP
Membership to the Bruntsfield Traders Association is just £20 per month
New members pay a £20 joining fee then set up future monthly payments by standing order.

All members are featured on the site with several links to their own business website.
Including;
• A directory listing with a large logo full contact details and weblinks, a live link to your own website from the interactive streetmap and listing on the links page.

• Access to Password protected Members Section giving contact details of other Traders and relevant trader's information.

• The Bruntsfieldplace.com site was designed and is maintained by Chameleon Design and is connected and linked to several other established
Edinburgh websites including Royalmile.com, The-Grassmarket.com, Princes- Street.com, Edinburgh-Rosestreet.com, Edinburgh-Stockbridge.com and Edinburgh-Photos.com

NO WEBSITE?
Chameleon Design can offer a Full Page Advert (essentially a single page website) for businesses who don't have an existing site.
The cost for this is a one off fee of £150 and the design can include photographs logos, e-mail links etc... and be fully custom made to the look and feel of your business.

NEWSLETTER
Through the B-Card Offers, the Association has built up a large database of customers interested to know what's new in Bruntsfield.
Each month the Association e-mails a Newsletter to these customers informing them of current B-Card Offers, Special offers and current news of the area.
All members are invited to contribute to this newsletter and it is a further way to promote themselves and encourage people to shop in Bruntsfield.

BROCHURE
Our Bruntsfield Brochure is an A6 Pocket sized booklet featuring photos and information about Bruntsfield and over 30 businesses.
We have produced 20,000 and these were distrubuted all over town and at Edinburgh Airport.

We are planning to produce a brochure once a year and are hoping to start the design process for a new brochure imminently.
Members can have a full page to themselves, including up to three photos, approx 170 words of information and full contact details.
A full page advert costs just £250 but there also the option for quarter page small adverts for just £80.
All artwork has to be signed off and full payment collected prior to going to press.

B-CARD
Our Bruntsfield B-Card is a customer discount card for customers with a difference.
The offers can change every month, encouraging people to visit the website and receive the monthly newsletter. Participating businesses can decide to change their offers each month, just do offers now and again or stick with the same offer throughout the year Member's aren't obliged to take part in the B-Card offers, but they have proved to be very successful.

HANGING BASKETS
Included in the Membership Fee is one Summer, one Spring and one Winter Hanging Basket meaning that members have outdoor floral displays all year round with the exception of the festive period when baskets are replaced by Christmas Trees complete with lights. If Members wish more Hanging Baskets the Association can organise this but members will have to pay an additional £2.25 per basket per week. The Baskets are maintained and watered regularly.If members don't have a bracket which also holds Christmas Trees, the Association can organise the fitting of one but costs will have to be covered by the individual business.

CHRISTMAS TREES WITH LIGHTS
Each Christmas period the hanging baskets are replaced with Christmas Trees and all members are allocated one tree complete with lights which are installed on the metal brackets. One tree with lights is Included in the Membership Fee and if any additional trees are required members have to pay extra for these.

BRUNTSFIELD CHRISTMAS NIGHT
Each Year the Bruntsfield Traders Association supports a local charity and organises a Christmas night usually to coincide with the Christmas lights being switched on. Last Christmas we raised nearly £2,000 for Garvald by selling raffle tickets and local traders donating fantastic prizes, Alexander McColl Smith turned on the Christmas tree lights, there was a Santa's Grotto and there was a choir, carol singers, stilt walkers and balloon artists. Members are encouraged to celebrate the festive period by offering customers drinks and nibbles, dressing up and generally getting into the Christmas spirit.

ASSOCIATION MEETINGS
Trader Association Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6pm at The Bruntsfield Hotel, All members are invited to attend.

Membership Fees are £20 per month payable by standing order.
